my story
Educating. As a life-long learner with a soul for teaching others, I am always on the lookout for new ideas and trends to share. My graduate degree in Applied Mathematics proves that I’m definitely your guy when you need someone to ‘run the numbers for you. But don’t worry….my standardized tests ranked me highest in language and communication skills, so I’ll never be over your head!
I firmly believe in quality education for the younger generation; if we can get them off to the right start, it levels the playing field and helps us all be better.
When I’m not working, I find myself deeply involved with the Urban League Young Professionals in Oklahoma City. I love having a good drink with friends and enjoying some deep conversation. Also, if there is a football game on, you’ll find me watching!

my story
Inspire and influence. I love to be inspired, and I live to inspire others. Before getting into the financial services industry, I was in political consulting. Though politics will always be in my blood, in my financial services career, I can inspire someone to step outside of themselves for a moment…to cast a bigger vision… to think of the people they care about….to create a solid plan.
I believe people want to plan for their future but it can be overwhelming, especially if they don’t have a trusted professional to come along beside them. My biggest frustration is knowing that there are more people out there who need help and I haven’t met them yet.
In my free time, I love spending time with people—dinners, church and charity events, golf outings, biking, working out. With my friends, I like to eat, drink, and be merry.

my story
Leading. After leading kids in youth ministry at summer camps for 6 years, I was ready for another career that would allow me to mentor others. As I was growing up, I watched my father guide a variety of people and businesses through the financial planning process in this same career. He has made deep relationships and helped a lot of people. When it came time to choose a career, I thought this would be a great place to start.
This industry can be complex and it’s easy to confuse people with jargon and research. Leading them through this process allows me to educate people on how they can be more financially effective for their family, community, and themselves. I’m always inspired by the potential for something better….for myself and my clients.
When I’m not working, I like active sports (I ran track in college and our team still holds a record…look it up), music, karaoke, coaching. I also enjoy yard games and card games and I play to win. Playing outside with the family.

my story
Building. My whole life I have been building. In my early years, I was in construction. Later, I found myself building the athletic department at Wichita State University (Go Shockers!). Now, I help families and businesses build a solid financial future. I got into the financial services industry because I have a passion to serve others and have a meaningful impact in their lives.
A few years ago, I studied for a certification as a Family Business Specialist. The heartbeat of the our country is the family owned business, and they have unique struggles that I can guide them through. When I sit down with a family owned business, I get to hear the blood, sweat and tears that went into creating this entity that runs our nation. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
I was born in Claflin, KS and have spent most of my life is this great state. I think this is a great time to be in business in Wichita. It is a small big town with an entrepreneurial spirit that drives people to think and dream big. I love everything about it!
In my spare time, I love a good deck, good drink, and good discussions, as well as golf, basketball, tennis, and pickleball. I love playing and wrestling with my kids. My wife is glue that holds this family together, and I couldn’t do it without her.

my story
Prepare. My dad was a CPA and I watched him prepare taxes for everyone around us. When he died suddenly, we realized that he hadn’t taken time to plan his own financial path. I realized I wanted to help people become confident in their financial future and I went into the financial services industry. When people understand what they have, they can confidentially plan for their future.
I often find that people don’t take time to prepare because they feel they don’t have the resources or they don’t know who to trust for guidance. The most rewarding part of my work is when I understand their lives and their goals, and can help the two intertwine.
During my spare time, I spend time with my two girls, attend concerts, check out local breweries, and enjoy what OKC has to offer. They have added so many events/venues over the past few years, there is always something new to try. I am active in a various non profits in OKC. One that is especially close to my heart is Patient Housing Assistance. They help families and patients with temporary housing when they are seeking treatment at MD Anderson.

my story
Empower. After completing my MBA at OU, I thought banking would be a great career. But, my loan officer title merely consisted of taking orders from business owners for loans that would provide a quick fix to some short-term problem. I wanted to empower them to make great decisions; so, I sought a position that would enable me to consult with them on their long-range goals and help them prepare for whatever challenges they faced.
Fast forward 32 years, and I’m still learning and finding new ways to fill in the financial gaps threatening business owners and professionals. The best part of the job is working with the young advisors coming on board who have fresh insight for identifying problems and providing solutions to our clients.
When I’m not working, I love to travel, play bad golf, walk my old dog, Pearl, and help in various nonprofit organizations that give back to our stellar community.
